Publish SDKs
Ship SDKs to NuGet, PyPI, npm, and GitHub.
APIMatic builds and publishes your SDKs for you, so you don't need to know how each registry works. Publishing takes two steps: set up a publishing profile once, then run apimatic sdk publish whenever you release a new version.
Where you can publish
| Language | Package registry |
|---|---|
| C# | NuGet |
| Python | PyPI |
| TypeScript | npm |
You can also publish the SDK source code to GitHub, on its own or alongside the registry package.
1. Create a publishing profile
An APIMatic publishing profile stores your package details and the credentials APIMatic needs to publish for you. Create one in the Publishing Center on the APIMatic Dashboard:
- Give the profile a name.
- Enter the general package details: name, description, and authors.
- Review the package settings for each language.
- Save.
Add credentials for each registry and for GitHub from the Credentials menu with + Add Credential. You can reuse credentials across profiles.
To see your profiles and their IDs from the terminal:
apimatic publishing profile list2. Publish
Run the APIMatic CLI command with no flags for a guided walkthrough:
apimatic sdk publishOr pass everything as flags, for example in a CI/CD pipeline:
apimatic sdk publish --profile-id=<id> --language=<lang> --version=<version> --publish-type=<type>Use semantic versioning (MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH) for --version. Add --dry-run to check what would be published without publishing it.
Planning to build a Context Plugin?: Context Plugins reference your SDK repositories, so publish with source code:
--publish-type=sourcecode. See Context Plugins.
